Awards, New Officers, Networking and…Donuts!

Awards, a behind-the-scenes look at PR by an iconic international food brand, the election of new board officers, and catching up with colleagues made it a slam-DDunk annual meeting at Red River Theatres in Concord November 21st.

Michelle King, Dunkin’ Donuts Global PR Director, talked about the brand’s strategy for PR and social media.

Membership approved new board officers ,with Rosemarie Rung, APR, taking over as the new chapter president. The following awards were presented:

Summit Award

Michele Talwani, Theresa Dolloff, Lauren Bombardier, and Pamela Hawkes, of Families in Transition, accept the 2013 Summit Award.

The chapter’s 2013 Summit Award recognized excellence in event-based PR strategy, and was given to Families in Transition of Manchester for their Cinco de Mayo event. Michelle Talwani, director of economic development and marketing, is a long-time chapter member and former board member. Past president Susie Dimick Stone presented the award.

Robin Schell, APR, Fellow PRSA, of Jackson, Jackson and Wagner, was honored with the Good as Granite Award for outstanding service to the organization and chapter. It was presented by Brett St. Clair, APR,  of Louis Karno & Company.

Isobel Parke, APR,Fellow PRSA was recognized for her outstanding work in the field and on behalf of the chapter. Pat McGee, APR, Fellow PRSA,  of the Manchester Archdiocese presented the award to her.

James Bradley Memorial Scholarship

The 2013 scholarship was awarded to Jennifer Samson of Southern New Hampshire University by Robin Schell.
