A careful and integrated communication plan is critical during a merger. As of January 31, 2010, Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines are flying under a single operating certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, operations at airports worldwide have been integrated and the combined airline is bringing together employee groups that are used to working in two very distinct cultures. During this session, presenters from Delta Air Lines share their strategy for ensuring a seamless transition in aligning everything from flight schedules to food and beverage offerings to employee groups to policies and procedures, ensuring a consistent customer experience while continuing to make Delta a great place to work.
