Jan 11th, 2012 | By Yankee PRSA | Category: JobsThe NH Local Government Center in Concord, NH, seeks an administrative support professional for its communications department to join a team dedicated to maximizing the visibility of the Local Government Center’s programs and services with members and the general public. Work involves performing administrative assignments including word processing, proofreading, creating and maintaining databases and filing systems, record-keeping, reception coverage, and invoicing and project scheduling. Tasks also involve extensive contact with Members, coordination of inventory, sales, order fulfillment and invoicing for publications of the Local Government Center. In addition, the Communications Associate will update and maintain databases and perform data entry, query, mail merge and report functions. The Communications Associate will create and maintain detailed inventory records for LGC publications and produce quarterly reports regarding sales and distribution activity. This position will provide general administrative support to the Public Affairs Manager, Editor in Chief, the Communications Specialist, and the Communications Department.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of Word, Excel, Access databases; prior work experience, training or course work in general office practices, clerical skills, typing or word processing desired. Experience in State or local government preferred. In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered at the discretion of LGC.
