Communication Director
Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association
The Communication Director will develop and implement a
proactive communication strategy, standards and practices
that elicit the behavior, emotion and recognition of the
agency's mission and services. Responsibilities include
ensuring the agency's messaging is consistent and clear;
develop and maintain strong relationships through facilitation
of regular roundtables with key stakeholders; and represent
Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association in public setting
with other leaders and staff to promote visibility. Research;
develop grant proposals with funding sources that align
with the organization's programs and services. (Approximately
50% of the responsibilities for this position are grant
research and writing.)
The qualified candidate must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications or Journalism,
Public Relations and/or Marketing.
- A minimum of five years experience leading communication
or media management in a health care setting. Experience
must include media relations, website management, marketing
planning and budgeting.
- Demonstrates project team leadership skills including
the ability to influence and build consensus across the
organization.
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple projects
and competing priorities to meet internal and external
deadlines.
- Ability to develop communication plans and material
with strong, clear consistent messaging consistent with
the agency's mission working with internal and external
constituents.
- Excellent communication skills with emphasis on writing,
editing, and presentation development.
- Knowledge of grant application process and procedures,
including applicable laws and research techniques.
- Thorough understanding of branding principles and tactics
including, but not limited to, multimedia, the web, etc.
