Loeb School Presents George Stephanopoulos – Nov. 12

ABC’s Stephanopoulos to headline Loeb School 1st Amendment Event

MANCHESTER – ABC’s chief political correspondent and Good Morning America co-anchor George Stephanopoulos will be the keynote speaker at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications First Amendment Awards this fall.

The 11th annual event, at noon on Nov. 12 at the Executive Court Conference Center in Manchester, honors the First Amendment and New Hampshire residents who strive to exercise and protect the essential rights of free speech and free press.

In addition to anchoring Good Morning America, Stephanopoulos hosts the network’s weekly political program, “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” and reports on political and policy stories for ABC News. Before joining the network, he was a senior adviser to President Bill Clinton. He is the author of “All Too Human,” a No. 1 New York Times bestseller on Clinton’s first term and the 1992 and 1996 Clinton/Gore campaigns.

Stephanopoulos joins other notable national figures who have donated their appearances to the non-profit Loeb School. Previous speakers have included NBC’s Tim Russert, Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, Vice President Joe Biden and commentators Patrick Buchanan and George Will.
