Online Community Manager – SNHU College of Online and Continuing Education

The Online Community Manager for the College of Online and Continuing Education will be responsible for the implementation of an Online Student Union within the student portal. Working in conjunction with the Director of Student Success, this position will help build a robust online community of students through the use of social media and collaboration tools embedded into the student portal. The Online Community Manager will help to revolutionize the delivery of student services for online students through the use of technology tools such as student groups, video hangouts, discussion boards, etc., and will ultimately improve the total student experience by providing students opportunities for engagement outside of the online classroom. A strong knowledge of web design, social media technologies, and the creation of online community are critical to this role.
Experience working with web design and social media tools are critical. Strong technical skills (doc sharing, webinar facilitation, video chat technologies, etc.) are also vital. Experience with HTML or MS SharePoint development extremely helpful. Bachelor’s degree and 4-7 years of experience required.
