Join us for our March PD Session with UNH Survey Center Director Andrew Smith as he discusses one of the most basic tools — the survey.

We will explore several topics including:

  • How to determine when you need a survey
  • Figuring out which survey questions to ask
  • Examples of good and bad surveys

Andrew E. Smith

AndrewSmithAndrew E. Smith is associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire where his research has focused on elections, public opinion and the presidential nomination process. He has published on elections, survey methodology, and the New Hampshire Primary. He has also been director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center since 1999 and is nationally known for public opinion polling. He has conducted political polling for the Boston Globe, USA Today, and the Philadelphia Inquirer as well as Fox News, CNN, WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, WCVB-TV Boston, and KYW-TV Philadelphia.
