June 13 — Math Skills For PR People: How to Conduct Survey Research
Join UNH Survey Center Director Andy Smith as he teaches us the ins and outs of that most basic (and largely misunderstood) PR research tool: the survey.
We’ll explore such topics as:
- How do you know you need a survey?
- How do you know what survey questions to ask?
- How to tell a good survey from a bad one
Andrew E. Smith is associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire where his research has focused on elections, public opinion and the presidential nomination process. He has published on elections, survey methodology, and the New Hampshire Primary. He has also been director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center since 1999 and is nationally known for public opinion polling. He has conducted political polling for the Boston Globe, USA Today, and the Philadelphia Inquirer as well as Fox News, CNN, WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, WCVB-TV Boston, and KYW-TV Philadelphia.
