New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) is the only statewide source of radio news, information and entertainment for the Granite State serving more than 160,000 listeners each week.

As the venues to experience media change and velocity of information grows, how is NHPR fulfilling its lofty mission to help create a moreinformed public? NHPR President & CEO, Betsy Gardella will discuss how public radio broadcasting in New Hampshire has changed (collaborations, new technologies and new media), the local station’s relationship with NPR and the outlook for the future. Professional communicators will learn more about how NHPR is using the observations and expertise of its audience via social media and the Public Insight Network to inform its news and cultural reporting.

Following the formal presentation and Q&A, attendees will be invited to tour NHPR’s production and broadcast center where live call-in programs, interviews and features are produced and distributed.
