James H. Bradley Grant for PRSSA Graduates

Are you a recent PRSSA Graduate? Do you want to stay involved with the world of public relations?

We have a grant for you!

That’s right! Recent 2024 graduates, as well as other former PRSSA members who graduated within the last two years, can apply for a grant to pay for your PRSA (national) and Yankee PRSA Chapter dues.

To apply:

  1. Join PRSA (prsa.org) at the associate member/PRSSA graduate rate ($67) and the Yankee Chapter (www.yankeeprsa.org) ($50).
  2. Complete your grant application (form coming soon) and attach a scan of your paid invoice.

The Yankee Chapter will reimburse you for the dues you’ve paid ($117). We’ll also share ideas for how you can get involved and make introductions to Yankee Chapter members.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many grants will be given out each year?

The Yankee Chapter is ready to reimburse dues for approximately nine new associate member/PRSSA graduates.

I want to join PRSA and the Yankee Chapter but was not a member of a PRSSA college chapter. Can I still apply for this grant?

Unfortunately, this grant is available only to former PRSSA members. However, you are always welcome to attend Yankee Chapter events as you consider membership, and based on your experience, you can join PRSA as an associate member.

Why is the Yankee Chapter doing this?

Current Yankee Chapter leadership—who are all veteran PR practitioners—remember how hard it is to land your first job and pay for living expenses, all the while trying to make a mark with your work and the perspective you bring to the table.

We want to help you by reimbursing your PRSA dues and Yankee Chapter dues, PLUS bring you into the many networking and other activities of the organization.

Who is funding this offering?

The PRSA Yankee Chapter is expanding the James H. Bradley PRSSA grant program with this exciting new offering for recent college graduates who were members of their school’s PRSSA chapter. James H. Bradley is one of the “founding fathers” of the PRSA Yankee Chapter. He passed away in 2010 and the PRSSA grant fund was established to honor him and his many contributions to our field.

We’re excited to welcome you to PRSA and the Yankee Chapter!
