Yankee Chapter PRSA Awards Scholarship to Champlain College Senior Margaret Kuchinski

Annual Scholarship Sponsored by EDvestinU®

Margaret Kuchinski, a senior at Champlain College and a resident of Delmar, N.Y., has been awarded the 2016 Yankee Chapter PRSA Scholarship. This year for the second time, the annual scholarship is sponsored by EDvestinU®, the NH Higher Education Loan Program’s nonprofit Student Loan Lending and Refinancing Program.

“Margaret’s keen understanding of the value of public relations in the marketplace combined with her enthusiasm and initiative makes her a perfect choice to receive this scholarship award,” said Yankee Chapter President Liz LaRose, APR. “The Yankee Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is pleased to provide this grant to a college senior whose academic career exemplifies the highest standards of our profession. And this year, we are proud to have the support of EDvestinU®, whose sponsorship made this scholarship possible.”

At Champlain College, Kuchinski is pursuing a major in public relations and a specialization in marketing. She is an active member of the college’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and serves as the group’s PR director. In addition, she acts as a liaison between the Communications and Creative Media department and transfer students. This past summer, Kuchinski worked as an intern at the Vermont Brewers Association, where she spearheaded the first-ever social media giveaway for the 2016 Brewers Festival. Kuchinski has been recognized by college faculty for her strong work ethic and her commitment to both academic and professional excellence. She is the daughter of Anne Marie Couser and Bill Kuchinski of Delmar.
